The pair have travelled to the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace for the christening of Athena, Princess Beatrice’s daughter, and appeared to stay out of sight in the back of a car. Princess Beatrice, 37, and her husband Edo Mapelli Mozzi, 42, are today christening their baby Athena at the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace. In a sweet nod to the late Queen, their baby’s middle name is Elizabeth – Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi. It is understood to be the first time Andrew, 65, and Sarah Ferguson, 66, will be inside a royal palace since being stripped of their titles. A source previously said: “It’s going to be a royal occasion, but everyone is dreading the thought of seeing Andrew there.” Athena was born at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital shortly before 1pm on January 22. Andrew reportedly arrived by himself in a Range Rover at a side entrance to the palace grounds at around 10.45am. It is understood that his ex-wife arrived separately earlier on Friday. It comes after the disgraced royal Andrew was officially stripped of his last royal titles last month, amid a delay to his eviction from Royal Lodge. The former Duke of York had already been brought to his knees by the disgraceful scandal surrounding paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and sex abuse accuser Virginia Giuffre. The Sun reported how King Charles had ordered his membership of the Order of the Garter – said to be the most chivalric order in the land – to be cancelled. The King also ordered Andy’s Knight of the Grand Cross of the Royal Victoria Order to be cancelled and annulled. The monarch’s decision means the disgraced former royal is only clinging on to one remaining title. Andrew is still a vice-admiral in the Royal Navy, despite the government’s pledge to strip him of the honour at Charles’ request. Beatrice and Eugenie were snapped hugging in the street after the fallout from their father’s behaviour. The sisters were spotted on the streets of London on the same day disgraced Andrew was ordered to appear before Congress and officially stripped of his titles. The sisters appeared to be consoling one another following a serious conversation in Mayfair. They were seen chatting intensely on Thursday afternoon before sharing a close embrace as they said goodbye to one another and went their separate ways. Meanwhile, Andrew’s eviction from Royal Lodge is likely to be delayed until February, because he is struggling to downsize. He may also be set to lose £500k compensation for being kicked out of the 31-bedroom Windsor mansion after leaving it in rundown state. As part of his leasing arrangement, Andrew could have been entitled to £488,000 for surrendering his 75-year lease early. But he may now have to forfeit that after Crown Estate investigators found the property was in a “dilapidated” condition, as revealed by The Sun last month.
