Prince Harry’s 11 Biggest Revelations from His New MasterClass: Princess Diana, Panic Attacks and His 10-Day Family Rule

The timing of the MasterClass arrives just weeks after Diana’s younger brother, Charles Spencer, released Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, his own deeply personal account of his sister’s life and the tumultuous days surrounding her death. Spencer has said that the approaching 30th anniversary of Diana’s death was part of what prompted him to finally put his memories down on paper.

That milestone is now less than a year away. Diana died on Aug. 31, 1997, at age 36, and we understands that Harry has been exploring a number of ways to honor his mother and her legacy ahead of the 30th anniversary in 2027. A documentary about Diana is among the possibilities that have been discussed, although no project has been finalized or confirmed.
Harry uses the MasterClass to look not only at what he lost, but at how the loss continued to shape him long after Diana died. In his conversation with O’Connor, he speaks about forgetting the sound of his mother’s voice, using her perfume to unlock memories, suffering an emotional crash after moving to Canada with Meghan and Prince Archie, and the “absolute panic” he once experienced during public engagements.
